way out in the water see it swimmin'.....leave a comment if you want. you should. but you dont have to. but do. 4月2日 6 months is a long timei now have a wireless router.
i have my provisional license.
i took exams in january and then received the results
Psychology retake (was D)- C
Geography GG4- B
seminar- dont know/ dont care
i still work for Argos only now i know how to do stuff.
ITS ALL GOOD 10月19日 a Birthday, a boxset and a geography tripok havent blogged for ages again and its not just because i am that completely boring all the time i have nothing to say.
obviously quite a lot has happened since i could last be bothered to blog so i'l just go on about the major stuff.
i turned 18 2 weeks ago today. i got loads of presents. parents got me a new phone and a necklace and friends got things like champagne and the series one My Name Is Earl boxset.
i was going to blog more often but i still havent got the wireless router. i also still dont have a provisional licence so i still havent started driving lessons. the parents are making me buy my own provisional and pay for all the lessons (fair enough i do get my wages) and then when they get my mum a new car she has to share it with me.
last week i was away on the geography trip with Burbs Nic Luke and the Steves. it was to Swanage to look at coastal erosion. it was more fun than it sounds. i actually managed to get served my first legal drink of carling in a pub despite me looking about 14 but i dont think the pub particually cared. 9月22日 yupPimps and Hoes party was really fun. i knew the skirt was short but i didnt realise how short until i saw the pictures. Sarah A only wore pants and a tail instead of trousers or a skirt. some middle aged woman called Louise a slapper as well. but other than that it was really good.
9月13日 i want to leave school but i wont.Steve is now 18 so this friday everyone is going Meridian for his party outing type thing and we have to go dressed as pimps or hoes. i got my outfit ready and i might get very cold. i need lots of money for that so its good that i do now have a job (if i didnt i couldnt have gone) and the emergency tax situation is all sorted out and i got my £9 something back. it was really sweet on his birthday TG got Steeevee a pink pig cake and then everyone decorated it for him.
i am 18 in 3 weeks time so i am looking forward to getting presents and a pay rise and my new phone!
ok that was a ramble.
i will now carry on with the coursework
8月18日 this week has been a good weekfinally the lack of funds is sorted
i applied for a job in Argos on Sunday and was invited for an interview on Monday for Wednesday.
on wednesday i dressed up smart, and despite being very nervous and having to sit on my hands because they were being all crazy, i managed not to come across as a complete idiot in the interview. straight after that i went Sarah Morgan's for her Bouncy Castle Non Birthday party, and during that i found out i had got the job!
yesterday obviously was results day for my AS levels and i got no vowels so no A's but no E's either.
they were Geography B (quite pleased about that one because i failed every mock exam we did), Sociology B, Psychology C, Accounting D although in one of the 3 exams i got B, General studies B.
8月10日 its all changed. i like it.i havent blogged for ages.
although i could claim that this is because i have had better things to do i can assure you it isnt. i decided not to blog again until the parents made the wireless router purchase and as yet they havent. they have got to the look at it decide to buy it then ponder about it for a bit stage but then their ponder time is also being taken up by the possibility of a new fridge freezer.
its the summer holidays at the moment and i have just about less than a month left. these are my last ever EVER EVER summer holidays because next year, when all of my brighter and more ambitious friends have their summer holiday before going university, i have decided to go get a job.
as in join the real world (no offence university people you are more brainy and as school keeps humiliatingly pointing out, likely to earn much more money than me, therefore giving you the opportunity to buy a bigger house and a better car) and im going to have to PAY TAX.
if that wasnt shocking enough, according to my school not going to university and getting a degree for the sake of it even though i really dont want to (as i was told to do by my form tutor) i will be RUINING MY LIFE and will be destined to be in a dead end job wondering where it all went wrong forever.
i have done some things over the holiday. iv been round peoples houses for parties and general socialising, as well as going on numerous family outings. and watching Neighbours.
i got my hair cut quite short since the last blog as well. in the time since it has grown a a ridiculously fast rate leading me to suspect all hairdressers have been spraying Miracle Grow on it every time they see me.
yesterday i went to Leire to Sarah M's house for Die Hard Day. we ate huge amounts of M+Ms and watched all 3 Die Hard films back to back. she then drove me and Zara back in her own tonic blue coloured car because she is super cool.
i got the Racontuers CD i really like it my favourites are Together, Broken Boy Soldier, Hands and Blue Veins.
7月9日 i went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2...... Dead Man's Chest. the day it came out (which was on thursday)
it was veeeeeeeeery good. possibly a bit too much fighting computer animated sea monster people but other than that it was very funny.
currently only being able to connect to the internet on my laptop by an ethernet(?) cable sitting at the dinner table next to the other computer is annoying. 7月2日 even more agesSTUFF THAT HAPPENED (not in cronological order because i just cant remember it) 1. i made a super huge purchase of a laptop however i am yet to have the internet on it because i just cant work out how. got Broadband installed on this one today though. 2. it was Nic's birthday she is now 17 like me 3. i went back to school i now only do 3 subjects leaving me with a lot of free time. 4. England got knocked out of the world cup now although admittedly they were being a bit crap, getting knocked out by a penalty scored by Cristiano winking wanker Ronaldo was harsh. 5. they moved me out of my psychology class! something i had just about come to terms with when they moved Zara and Nic with me. 6. mums car got a flat tyre at Everards Island. heading to Meridian. 7. i volunteered to do charity work (i did later have to tell Nic i volunteered her as well) because im a good person really you see.
ok must go see Wills if she is in. something about my dads mate at work wants a car the same colour as her dads car but hasnt seen a car that colour in person and wants a picture.
with all the exam related couldnt be bothered to blog lately stuff i forgot to say blog is now one. its over a month ago now though so hardly worth mentioning. 6月15日 ooooooooo agesok havent blogged for ages so iv done lots but forgotten most.
i think the 3 accounting exams went ok, by that i mean i think i may have passed them. i managed to rip paper 3 in half.
yesterday was Ems 14th birthday so i made her a cake. her present from me was a hat and pink earphone things. but i wasnt there because i went Alton Towers with the school. she now has a one of them film cameras so has been following everyone around recording them. she woke me up at 7 to film me angry.
Alton Towers- i went on Rita, Nemisis, Air, Flume x2, Rapids, Duel, Hex and i think thats it although it doesnt seem a lot. Rita is meant to be the best because its the fastest but i didnt think it was that good. it was so quick that it was finished in a few seconds it didnt feel like anything much happened. i managed not to get really wet on the water rides but Sarah M was soaked.
i went on a trip out with the parents last weekend to Bempton Cliffs (where puffins live). it was good but it takes ages to drive there and iv got an odd handmark on my back where i didnt reach with the suncream.
i have to go school on monday!!
song of the day: There She Goes - The La's
6月2日 i want a laptophello
yes anyway i have decided i want a laptop.
this will leave me with no life savings for future cases of unemployment. which would be worrying if i hadnt planned on funding future shopping trips by bank robbery.
on saturday i went to Sarah A's party as planned. it was good but tension filled.
yesterday i got so bored i washed up and ironed.
song of the day: Say A Little Prayer - Aretha Franklin 5月23日 why ants? just why?so im mega pissed off revising sociology and to make it worse ants have decided that now is an appropriate time to invade the kitchen.
i have decided to give myself an hour off from revision so i go to make a sandwich only to find we have no sandwich related food. i had my monster munch anyway. i tried to improvise with a salad dressing sandwich but it wasnt great.
for sociology at the moment although in a minute im trying to learn what each sort of feminist cares about and who they hate (usually each other but mainly males in general). well feminists i hate you all.
it better be gender identity and something about nuclear families.
why did i not learn these things in the numerous lessons i have attended?
same question for each subject.
for some unknown reason i seem to be more bothered about failing (you say fail but really mean get a crap grade) in sociology and psychology but really its those tectonic plates and volcanoes i should be looking at.
its my mums birthday tomorrow. i wrapped her present and wrote her card.
i got the present in town the other day (although its the city, sorry CBD) i also got 2 CDs from the identity crisis shop Music Zone/MVC
shock of the yesterday- i was actually able to do many of the maths questions in the General Studies paper.
gaaaaaaaah.
song of the day: Televators- The Mars Volta
only this manupod crescent in shape has escaped. so there you go. 5月19日 Rachael (the Burb one) is now 16 and 4 days.i didnt get her a present yet though. me and Lil Em are going to go town tomorrow to get it and Sarah A's and mums.
i have got a geography exam at 1 today so we are going to go to 2 lessons this morning for preparation.
tonight its Rachaels party and then next saturday Sarah A's.
iv been revising in between the panicking that i dont know anything. the main issue is with learning studies for sociology and psychology.
geography went ok although worries include it saying you needed a calculator and the front and never using mine, and not realising there was colouring pencils available for shading a graph so i used a pen.
song of the day: Blink 182 - Stay Together For The Kids
i can assure you song of the day will NEVER be Angels and Airwaves as they are very embarrassingly bad.
5月12日 sunny very sunny now its dulldespite it being waaaaaaaaaay to near exams this week has actually been major fun. its all the sunlight you see.
so there you go thats why no one seems majorly bothered about exams.
i must now abandon this blog to argue with Em. bye bye.
saturday
after last nights super fun thunderstorm (i was in Sainsburys petrol station at the time) its now dull but still warm.
today me and mum have been tidying the garden. i nearly killed a frog with a spade so i moved it to a safe place. it was fun actually i think after exams i will do more. thats more gardening not frog liberation.
song of the day: Who Knew - Pink
i dont care what you think its good 5月7日 HEXAGONAL SMARTIE TUBES BOYCOTT (UPDATE)hello hello
i went to a party/or gathering at Steve's parentless house on friday which was lots of fun. garlic bread was once again burnt.
new favourite (although never had a favourite one before i suppose) advert at the minute is Jack White's Coca Cola advert which made me have "its the right thing to do ba ba ba ba ba" in my head all week and but also drink lots of Cola so it must be working. although me and Em have also taken to yelling "im thinking about my cola when im gonna drink it when im gonna drink it"
HEXAGONAL SMARTIE TUBES BOYCOTT UPDATE: on the 10th of August last year i wrote -
i have seen Smarties in a hexagonal tube. ITS WRONG WRONG WRONG. unfortunately this means the boycott has to start now, so my last pack of Smarties was on monday.
sales of Smarties have dropped 6.2% over the past year. personally, having not eaten Smarties since the 8th of august last year and considering the ridiculous rate i was getting through them its a saving of £50.40 if i had eaten 144 tubes.
apparently to try and improve sales Smarties are to be rebranded as containing no artificial colours, and as they do not have a non artificial colour for blue it will be white instead. which will surely be dangerous as there is already the risk of little children thinking pills are Smarties already.
song of the day: Bang Bang You're Dead - Dirty Pretty Things 5月1日 geography trip to the Lake District- because Leicester just isnt hilly enoughok so im the 5th person to write about this. i might even give it a whole new perspective you just dont know.
tuesday we left later than planned (due to issues over Tim's medical form) me+ Nic ended up distressingly seperated from the rest of our group at the front of the mini bus. only Nic didnt mind so much when she saw how much food i had got from Sainsbury's the night before. the traffic around the area was bad so we didnt get time to do anything very interesting. when we got to the YHA place i found out i was sharing room 17 with Nic and Rachael.
Rachael's a sleeptalker watch: several moans and sleepchews throughout the night but then there was NUMBER FIFTEEN! LOUISE! (?!)
wednesday running around on sand dunes was lots of fun, digging and measuring and causing terrible amounts of eco vandalism. we attemped to go to the pub that night but then realised we couldnt be bothered and it was too late anyway. Luke trying on Rachael's bra was the main comedy of the night.
Rachael's a sleeptalker watch: I want to go to Fosse Park...I dont want to be late.....going on the bus....need to get that dress....+ mumblings groans etc.
thursday was the most tiring day in the history of geography. the three major activities were 1. data analysis of a river using an orange (something like that) 2. running then walking then crawling then falling down in a heap trying to get to the top of the deceptively huge amount of rock that is Loughrigg Fell. (which we did eventually manage by the way). activity 3 was kayaking, which for me, Nic, Scottish and English Steve amoungst others was a bit of a non event as we refused. which was probably a good idea for me as i was so tired from the mountainous walking i would of fallen out. that night we went graveyard exporing in the dark where William Wordsworth is currently located. that was the scene of the great Tictac event with Luke shaking his Tictacs at an already scared Tim causing him to think he was being attacked by the ghostly Tictacs. Rachael's a sleeptalker watch: a quiet night with just mainly mumblings.
friday we went home. nothing much happened other than we went home. but it was fun.
song of the day/week/trip: Naive- The Kooks Radio 1's playlist is designed so you can listen to it on and off the whole week and only hear a maximum of 7 songs, which quickly become very irritating despite being quite good originally. 4月21日 Violet Fooi am going out in a bit. although possibly i was meant to have gone a few minutes ago. im glad because my next door neighbour has become obsessed with Eminem (more specifically his 2002 number 4 hit Cleanin' Out My Closet) and has been doing karaoke versions all morning.
ok so i would babble on about more but im meant to be going out and iv got wet hair.
Dave Grohl + wife Jordyn's baby was born the other day although they only just announced it. its a girl named Violet Maye.
now im back. i went to Steve's house with Rachael and then Pip and Steves brother was there but not Tim who was meant to come and then Rachael went.
song of the day: Exhausted - Foo Fighters
4月16日 happy easter......i have new curtainsHello, Happy Easter.
despite denying she was going to get me anything (and she usually doesnt) mum presented me with an egg shaped thing with Ferrero Rocher inside.
like this only egg shaped-
![]() also purchased was a communal tin of Quality Street that she reckons was a bargain from Macro. but it contains an annoyingly small amount of the green triangled ones though.
unlike Tim More Easter Eggs Than Sense that was the only chocolate i got other than ickle things from the visiting gmas.
so.
today both gmas came round for dinner (turkey from M+S). they had a look at my new utterly purple bedroom and liked it. me and mum put my new curtains up yesterday.
Lil' Em is now noticeably taller than me and has taken to calling me her little sister.
song of the day: The Air Near My Fingers - The White Stripes 4月14日 Jennys cream house, rain at sea and new wardrobesbit tired today after Jennys party. we (as in me, Designated Driver Steve, One Arm Pip and Tim) got back today really at something like 1:20. it was lots of fun. we didnt really do anything much but it was still good.
my easter holiday from school has been quite good so far.
on tuesday we went to the beach as planned despite the rain being biblical and the weather generally very crap. Rachael went with the positive thinking approach to it and unlike me and Jenny who were wrapped up toasty and waterproof didnt even bring a coat.
we got supermunch from our favourite Morrisons
for the journey. other than the minor tractor/detor/situation it was all good. about 1 minute before we arrived at the main destination it started raining. so that was basically our day- eating and being rained on. me and Jenny also managed some wave avoiding (my ultimate beach pastime) and we got bin bags for my mum from a bargain shop. as Steve told the Big Mo chav type who was serving behind the counter, they are good bin bags them ones. when the weather was really bad and No Coat Burbs needed to dry off for a bit we drove to places with funny names (think the Willey roadtrip of some months ago)today my dads off work and he had just gone to buy my wardrobe so today will be spent building that.
song of the day: Sun Hits The Sky - Supergrass 4月10日 eventful days this week are on tuesday and thursdayunless we get up and the weather is so bad that we could only get there in a snow plough (or something like that)
other than finding lots of scarfs, gloves and jumpers out i have been sorting my almost finished bedroom out. iv even done some polishing.
tomorrow is ROADTRIP day
me and Rachael are being picked up after 8 then on to Jennys then Morrisons then the site of cliff erosion here we come!
my weekend was all good. no major events other than losing my DVD player and having to search for it for most of sunday. just as i was starting to get worried i had somehow accidently thrown it away mum remembers she put it away in her wardrobe.
thursday im going Jennays for House party.
song of the day: Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies) 4月6日 A dissident, broadly defined, is a person who actively opposes an established opinion, policy, or structure.Rhianna and her gang of Christians just gave me and Carla doughnuts! they are very nice people.
iv just had the amazingly important seminar. we were doing the test 3 paper that last week the teacher was denying even existed. she also didnt know the word 'dissident' existed.
dumb seminar teacher being asked what a word means- miss what does dissident mean? (complete silence from teacher) its not fair that its in the test as a 15 mark question if we have never heard it before (complete silence from teacher who then nods a bit and asks someone else what time it is)
my dad has fixed the wall socket i managed to accidently destroy leaving live wires and bits of plastic all over the place. i also made the mistake of running my hand along the newly painted wall leaving a red mark from my nail varnish.
song of the day: El Manana- Gorillaz 4月4日 i shouldnt be in Leicesterat the moment i am in an IT room being a companion to Jenny as she does her biology coursework.
today i was meant to have gone on the geography trip. next week on wednesday (probably) its ROADTRIP day. we have a playlist with something like 85 songs on it.
Rachael moaned i hadnt blogged but thats basically because i havent done enough to deserve one.
whys?
why do people (mostly females 15 to 25) wear trousers one size too small for them?
why does my hair grow too fast?
why do people wear belts but dont put them through their belt hoops?
song of the day: Why Does It Always Rain On Me? - Travis 3月29日 so yesterday the painting began....me and my dad painted half of my room with the darker of the two shades of lilac (its purple).
the paint also managed to find my arm, elbow, both legs and knees, big toe, my sock, dads sock, dads trousers x2, all hands, shirt, bin, foot stool, bed covers, sink, bath and my toothbrush. (luckily i had one in stock and noticed it before i used it).
the colour is darker than we thought but i like it.
today i got the Exam Dates List From Doom.
so, i wont be able to come out to play on
monday 15th May: general studies
friday 19th May: geography
monday 22nd May: general studies x2
wednesday 24th May: sociology x2
thursday 25th May: psychology x2
friday 26th May: geography x 2
wednesday 7th June: accounting x3
this leaves me with exactly NO STUDY LEAVE AT ALL. infact you might like to notice i have two exams BEFORE study leave even starts.
this is not fair and i cant do anything about it.
meh.
song of the day: Martell by The Cribs because Ryan Jarman claimes he invented Live8 not Bob Geldof. 3月27日 Mothers day was yesterday.i gave mum her card and Jack Johnson CD she had been going on about wanting.
instead of making her cry with happiness like Rachael did to her mum, she seemed to find it funny that i stuck a peice of paper over the message that was pre written in the card saying how perfect she is.
i went shopping with her on saturday to get me a new ridiculously sensible raincoat and trainers for the geography trip (which has now been postponed for 3 weeks). she must have been in a good mood because she got me some new baggy jeans as well.
song of the day: Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing mums pleased with her new album. she even told me she liked the cover. 3月23日 teachers/people who know more are bad bad people. no offence Jenny parents.i went badminton again! but im really bad at it. i now have sore feet.
yesterday i decided to do something towards thinking about what the hell i am going to do when i leave school so i picked up a handy Connexions booklet called Getting A Job. i was never very impressed with the Connexions people as they all look a bit weedy and scared but i gave them a second chance.
an example of the handy advice this booklet gives
What sort of place would you like to work in?
there are all sorts of places you could work, like:
yeah and maybe a farmyard. with all the animals. like sheep. they go baaaaa. baaaaa.
i have decided this booklet is of little use to me.
and last night when i was making spaghetti bolognase for me and Em i burnt the back of my hand and it really hurt and looked burnt. today you cant see anything at all so i couldnt moan about it.
teachers have been pissing me off majorly today. teacher 1. is trying to move our geography trip to another date for little reason. teacher 2. is making me and Jenny miss dinner on monday so we can do a practise exam that we didnt want to do anyway let alone at dinner. teacher 3. didnt bother turning up to teach me yesterday meaning that teacher 4. marked me (and the rest of the class) away because we didnt feel the need to wait around in a dingy room doing nothing after someone came in and told us we could go because teacher 3 wasnt there. we had been waiting for about 20 minutes and eventually done a register on paper and gone.
song of the day: Panic! At The Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies |
